This 1P 15 Amp Arc Fault Breaker is designed to detect dangerous arc faults, which may become potential fire hazards in your home. It functions as a traditional overload and short circuit protector while monitoring arc-faults. An Arc-Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) is a device intended to mitigate the effects of arcing faults by functioning to de-energize the circuit when an arc-fault is detected.
